Detalles del Ecomate que pueden checar en la pàgina.

Q: What is ecomate?

A: A new blowing agent and family of polyurethane systems.

Q: Does ecomate have a GWP (Global Warming Potential) or contribute to Global Warming?

A: ecomate has a GWP of zero and does NOT contribute to Global Warming of the Earth.

Q: Does ecomate have an ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) or contribute to Ozone Depletion?

A: ecomate has an ODP of zero and does NOT contribute to the depletion of the Earth's Ozone Layer.

Q: Is ecomate a VOC (Volatile Organic Compound...better known to the Public as SMOG?)

A: No. ecomate was granted VOC-Exempt status in October 2004.

Q: Does ecomate satisy the requirements to be Montreal Protocol compliant?

A: Yes.

Q: Does ecomate satisfy the requirements to be Kyoto Protocol compliant?

A: Yes.

Q: Is ecomate dimensionally stable and does it produce dimensionally stable foams?

A: Yes.

Q: What processing changes do I need to make to use ecomate?

A: Switching to ecomate in almost all cases requires little to no processing changes. Any changes that might be necessary are standard to any chemical system change. Typical process changes would be changes to metering and slight temperature changes. Most customers have made the transition from less than $500.

Q: Are there any new safety and handling requirements for using ecomate systems?

A: Typically, No. If customers are familiar with and following the requirements for handling MDI and/or 141b foam systems, then the changes for handling ecomate systems should be minimal to none. Anytime a company decides to make a chemical changeover it is a good time to review the policies and procedures in place. Safety and handling requirements for ecomate systems can be easily determined by reviewing the MSDS and evaluating the current processing situation. Safety and Handling requirements are governed by Local, State, and Federal Regulations.
